Utidia Apprenticeship Institute (UAI) – Graduate Program Terms and Conditions
By submitting your application and participating in the Utidia Apprenticeship Institute (UAI) Graduate Program, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Eligibility:
• Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited educational institution, or demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
• Applicants must meet any specific eligibility requirements outlined for the chosen training track or program specialization.
2. Program Fee:
• The program fee is the same for all cohort tracks but varies for exclusive or independent routes based on the chosen track and learning style. Payment schedules and installment options (if applicable) will be outlined in the acceptance letter.
• UAI reserves the right to withhold certification or access to program resources for apprentices with outstanding balances.
3. Program Participation:
• Apprentices are expected to actively participate in all required training sessions, project assignments, and cohort activities (if applicable).
• Apprentices are expected to adhere to the UAI Code of Conduct, maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor in all interactions with instructors, mentors, fellow apprentices, and UAI staff.
• UAI reserves the right to terminate an apprentice’s participation in the program for violation of these terms and conditions, misconduct, academic dishonesty, or failure to meet program requirements.
4. Project Assignments:
• UAI will assign projects to apprentices based on their chosen track, skill level, and the needs of the program. While UAI will consider apprentice interests where possible, the final project assignment is at the discretion of UAI.
• Apprentices are expected to fulfill the responsibilities and obligations outlined in the project description or scope of work provided by UAI.
• UAI reserves the right to modify or reassign projects as needed to ensure program effectiveness and apprentice learning outcomes.
5. Intellectual Property:
• Intellectual property rights for work created during project assignments or as part of the program curriculum will be determined by the agreement between UAI, the apprentice, and any involved client or partner organization. In the absence of a specific agreement, intellectual property rights will typically reside with UAI.
• Apprentices agree not to disclose confidential or proprietary information related to UAI, instructors, fellow apprentices, clients, or projects without prior written consent.
6. Confidentiality:
• Apprentices agree to maintain the confidentiality of all non-public information they encounter during their participation in the UAI Graduate Program. This includes, but is not limited to, course materials, business strategies, proprietary technologies, and personal information of other apprentices.
7. Stipends and Compensation (if applicable):
• In rare cases, apprentices may be eligible to receive a stipend or other form of compensation for their participation in specific projects or program activities, as determined by UAI.
• The amount and payment schedule of any stipend will be outlined in a separate agreement.
• Apprentices are responsible for any taxes or other obligations related to stipends or compensation.
8. Liability:
• UAI is not liable for any damages, losses, or injuries incurred by apprentices during their participation in the program, except to the extent caused by UAI’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.
• Apprentices are responsible for their own health insurance and other necessary insurance coverage.
9. Use of Apprentice Work:
• Apprentices grant UAI the right to use samples of their work and testimonials for promotional and marketing purposes, with appropriate attribution.
10. Certification:
• Upon successful completion of all program requirements, apprentices will receive a Professional Diploma Certificate.
• UAI reserves the right to withhold or revoke certification if an apprentice violates these terms and conditions or engages in academic dishonesty.
11. Termination:
• UAI reserves the right to modify or terminate the program at any time, with or without notice.
• Apprentices may withdraw from the program at any time by providing written notice to UAI. However, refunds (if any) will be subject to UAI’s refund policy.
12. Governing Law:
• These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Governing Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
13. Amendments:
• UAI reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Apprentices will be notified of any changes, and continued participation in the program will constitute acceptance of the amended terms and conditions.
14. Communication:
• Apprentices agree to communicate with UAI through designated channels (e.g., email, online platform, messaging app).
15. Data Protection:
• UAI will comply with all applicable data protection laws regarding the collection, use, and storage of apprentice personal data.
16. Severability:
• If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
